I’m a Michigander at heart – born and raised near Lansing, Michigan. I graduated from MSU with a degree in Chemistry to teach math and science at the secondary level. For my first three years of teaching I taught in drastically different locations: an urban brick-and-mortar school in West Virginia, a blended school in Michigan, and a totally virtual school in Michigan. I’m now the Title 1 teacher for grades 9-12 for math and science and I love it. I get to work with students that don’t always like my favorite subjects and/or struggle understanding the material. Luckily I love math and science enough for everyone and am always excited to pass along my enthusiasm and comprehension whenever possible! This blog is to document my exploration through growing as an educator in our technology-filled world.
